FUNDRAISING

Fundraising is a very important function of our PAC. We raise money to fund supplementary and enrichment items and programs such as playground equipment, performing arts and gym equipment, library books, the Artist in Residence program, computers, student recognition and classroom support materials.

Cleveland is a well-resourced school thanks to the on-going generosity of our parent body.

Each year Cleveland parents fund a "Teachers Wish List" as well as one major item chosen jointly by parents and teachers.

2011/2012 - Emergency Preparedness
2010/2011 - Phase Two of the new playground
2009/2010 - New Playground
2008/2009 - Hands-On Learning

Budget Funding Evaluation Criteria

Items funded by CPAC should:
1. Support one or more of CPAC’s 3 primary roles (communication, school spirit and enrichment)
2. Benefit as many students as possible (i.e. multiple classes and both language streams)
3. Support or be complementary not contradictory to the mission and goals of Cleveland School, the North Vancouver School District and the B.C. Ministry of Education
4. Have their associated costs, benefits and risks well researched prior to final funding approval
